In this series I aimed to invite more fluidity in my textiles. Qualities like intuition and flow, which appear naturally when painting, were missing when working with textiles. In search of this fluidity, and with the aim of bringing these two mediums closer, curvy and organic forms take shape. As my process adjusts, simplicity and importance of the raw material continues to be significant and lead the way.

Water is an emblem of fluidity, it is associated with purity and is the source of life. It represents time and change. I have been inspired by the symbolism of rivers and water to create this current series. Rivers naturally flow, change and are in constant motion. I wanted to convey a sense of rhythm and movement, and allow the flow to not just inspire the form but the process also. In that way new textures and techniques reveal themselves.
