“Murmullo” translates as “murmur” — a low continuous background noise, or a softly spoken, almost inaudible utterance.
The sound of the raffia during the process inspired the title for this second piece in the series. At this stage, the conversation with the materials was modest but beginning to take shape, helping me develop my own visual vocabulary. The piece combines macramé with woven raffia, structured to form square shapes that reflect both texture and form. By merging these techniques, I continued to explore a contemporary approach to craft, shaping traditional methods into a personal visual language.
