Recycled cotton and raffia

The piece grew from the sounds and textures I noticed while working with raffia. The rhythmic quality of cutting and weaving the fibres inspired the title and the broader series, which draws from conversations and subtle noises. Technically, I combined macramé with woven raffia, integrating the fibres within the macramé structure to form two rectangular shapes. By merging these methods, I developed a contemporary approach to craft, transforming traditional techniques into a personal visual language.
