Transformaciones Orgánicas
Part of the Earthskin series, this work explores the balance between control and organic movement. The surface is first woven on a loom using raffia fibers, creating a structured base. Once the tapestry is complete, I shape it with my hands and scissors, sculpting soft, rounded forms that emerge through intuition and flow, giving the piece a sculptural presence.
Meticulously crafted and densely textured, it resonates with the materiality and movement of living systems. I am interested in how opposites—structure and softness, control and instinct, discipline and freedom—can coexist within one surface. The work becomes a meeting point between human touch and natural rhythm, where intention gives way to flow.
It reflects a quiet collaboration with the material, suggesting a dialogue with nature and an attunement to rhythms that already exist. Beauty does not always come from resistance; sometimes it rises through attunement. This is not a fight against nature. It is a form of belonging.
